85% of our total operating expenses fund programs for children. So the majority of your dollars go toward exactly what you intended - supporting children in poverty.
Islamia Eye Hospital, M A Ispahani Institute of Ophthalmology (IEH), and DCI have been working closely to mitigate the miseries of underprivileged children. IEH is a non-profit eye care service provider. DCI is doing a commendable job in helping children with eye diseases. Without its appropriate intervention, I am sure these children would have languished in poverty for the rest of their lives. I congratulate DCI in its wonderful service to the poverty stricken children of Bangladesh and hope it will further strengthen its capacity to provide more support to children with eye care needs. I wish DCI a great success. –Zahida Ispahani Adviser, Islamia Eye Hospital & M A Ispahani Institute of Ophthalmology Dhaka, Bangladesh
Volunteering in Bangladesh with DCI was a fantastic experience, one that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Nothing will be able to take away this experience. Even before I left Bangladesh I had a new found dedication and determination to continue and help fight against blindness and preventable eye diseases in poverty-stricken countries. I look forward to my return as the spirit of Bangladesh forever resides in my soul. –Angelina Gomez DCI Youth Volunteer, NY August 3, 2009

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all DCI team members (Mr. Moneam, Mr. Lucky, Mr. Ranjen and Mr. A. Sattar) at Shoula for their excellent arrangement of inauguration Ceremony of AGAMI School at Shoula and Free Eye Camp. We (myself and my daughter Sabah) were very much impressed with the overall management of DCI and especially the children’s active participation. We pray to Almighty Allah for their sound health, every success and prosperity in future. We shall work to Make Dreams Real for the underprivileged children and mothers of hard-to-reach areas like Shoula. Thank you very much for your excellent cooperation. –Rtn.
