Sultan Chowdhury

sultan-chowdhury Sultan Chowdhury, PhD, has been involved in community development and charitable work throughout his adult life. He has served on the boards of socio-cultural and religious organizations and committed time to feeding the homeless at shelters, assisting in citizenship and adult education, and fundraising for the victims of natural disasters and wars. He was also the chair for DCI’s successful Journey for Child Rights & Sight Benefit Show in the Washington DC metro area in 2010.

Throughout a professional career spanning over 35 years, Sultan Chowdhury successfully implemented over 60 major projects in information technology (IT) and financial management in the U.S. federal government, in the banking and airline sectors, and in a major CPA firm. He served in management and executive positions and was an entrepreneur of business entities. He worked and coordinated with top executives of large U.S. and multi-national corporations around the world. Dr. Chowdhury received accolades for superior performance throughout his career, including a medal from the U.S. President’s Council on the Y2K. He conducted numerous symposia and training workshops, and presentated at international conferences on accounting and financial management systems, budget and project management, business development, and diversity.

Dr. Chowdhury is a certified public accountant (CPA) and in his graduate and post-graduate education concentrated in computer science and technology management. He has held membership in a number of professional and social organizations, has traveled to several countries in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America, and mentored several individuals in their professional advancement.
