DCI Volunteers to Participate in Cure Kids Jam and Festival

A group of Intel employees are volunteering for Distressed Children & Infants International (DCI) at the Cure Kids Jam and Festival in Hillsboro, Oregon. Volunteers will be raising awareness about DCI during the Cure JM Concert hosted by the Cure JM Foundation. The Cure JM Foundation raises money and awareness for the immune disease of Juvenile Myositis, which affects children 18 and under. Intel has partnered with United Way and two other children’s charities (Cure JM and the local Ronald McDonald House) to host the event. DCI’s booth is being sponsored by the Inn at Seaside, OR. Volunteers will distribute flyers and display DCI banners to raise awareness and educate visitors about DCI’s mission. Volunteers will also be offering the “Give a Hand Package” at the Inn at Seaside. The Give a Hand Package includes lodging for guests and $50.00 of the package is donated to DCI.

The Cure Kids Jam and Festival will take place August 6th, 2011 in Hillsboro, Oregon, and 2000 visitors are expected to attend. For festival information please visit: www.curekidsfest.com.
