DCI Executive Director Addresses 31st Annual BMANA Conference

On July 3rd, the executive director of Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI), Dr. Ehsan Hoque, addressed the 31st Annual Conference of The Bangladesh Medical Association of North America (BMANA). The title of his presentation was “DCI Programs in Bangladesh and How US Youth Can Benefit from Getting Involved.” The event took place at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City on July 2-3, 2011.

Dr. Hoque explained how DCI’s programs are changing the lives of thousands of underprivileged children in Bangladesh. He highlighted the critical role BMANA members have played in DCI’s success since its inception. Dr. Hoque also illustrated the life-long benefits for children and young adults in the United States who are involved with DCI’s humanitarian efforts. Youth volunteer leader, Mr. Ryan Chowdhury, also presented accomplishments achieved by his DCI chapter at Stony Brook University and discussed ways to form strong DCI teams throughout the US.

DCI acknowledged its gratitude to BMANA for its partnership since its inception in programs like the Sun Child Sponsorship Program. DCI hopes to continue a productive, positive, and long-lasting partnership with all the members of BMANA in its mission to create a better world for children.
